DAS BÜRO was founded by the photographers Ulrik Jantzen and Lars Bech in 2003. After a handful of years with a close connection to Danish and International daily newspapers and magazines, the two of them felt that it was time to seek new challenges. Exhibits and prizes gave the duo the curiage and inspiration to start DAS BÜRO.

"The starting point for DAS BÜRO is reality. Our intuition tells us, that there is a great demand for something geunine and unpolished. That is our strength", the founders of DAS BÜRO explain, about their characteristic mark. "We have a wish to create pictures with presence, energy and personality, which is easier to find out in the field - than in a studio". This is Lars and Ulrik’s visual starting point.

Their mission is, and has always been, to tell stories from the world that surrounds us. They have always had very high demands to the aesthetic expression, all the way down to the slightest detail. With that, DAS BÜROs pictures are for all who appreciate the strong image and the good story.

Today DAS BÜRO has its base in "Kødbyen" in Copenhagen. What started out as a desire to make a difference in the polished visual world, is now a close co-operation where presence, reality and the good story are top priorities.
